Office building reliably waterproofed
Modern publishing building with adjacent pond reliably waterproofed
The impressive new building of the Nordwest-Zeitung stands in the city of Etzhorn, directly next to the publishing subsidiary Weser-Ems-Druck. The three-story publishing building consists of two parallel, slightly offset halves connected by a central structure.
The new building offers space for 280 employees. The rainwater does not flow into the sewage system but is collected in an adjacent pond and irrigates the orchard.
For purpose of protection against damp the office building was waterproofed with the 2-comp. reactive thick coating weber.tec Superflex D 24, which was applied seamless over the entire surface and in trough form over the earth-contacting building parts and the socket parts subject to splash water.
