Weber flooring expertise in the Dresden Palace Chapel

Joint‑minimised floor construction in a listed historic building

Project Summary

For the floor construction in the Palace Chapel of the Dresden Royal Palace, the cement‑based floor coating weber.floor 4650 GT 30 was used. This material provides a smooth, level, high-quality surface with a joint-minimised appearance and subtle colour variations. The FMP 40 mixing and delivery pump ensured consistently high-quality material delivery. A key focus of the project was protecting the delicate sandstone plinth. Thanks to close coordination between the planners, SIB and the contractor responsible for execution, all protective measures were successfully implemented. The use of the Weber system build-up, consisting of primer, smoothing compound and surface protection, resulted in a technically first-class, permanently load-bearing floor construction.
