Comfort Engineered - simply lighter work

Comfort‑Engineered products are particularly high‑yield* – delivering the same surface coverage while requiring less material on site.
When materials are easy to mix and apply, and reliably deliver excellent results, work becomes much easier and more predictable. This ensures a high-quality finish and leaves you with the energy for everything beyond the construction site.

Developed for the reality of everyday site work

When every movement counts:
Comfort-engineered products help to reduce muscle strain.

When every gramme counts:
Lightweight technology ensures effortless handling and application.

When the material needs to work smoothly:
The creamy consistency allows for easy spreading and even distribution.

When less dust is created during mixing:
The low-dust formulation makes mixing easier and helps to reduce strain on the respiratory system.

Effortless working – scientifically proven

Comfort-Engineered products are designed to measurably reduce the physical effort required for installation. Analyses confirm that muscle strain during typical application steps is reduced by up to 15%*.

The new adhesives also ease the workload before application begins: thanks to their reduced bag weight and higher coverage per unit. Less material needs to be handled on site, as demonstrated by weber.xerm 843, which achieves coverage of around 8.5 m² with just 12.5 kg.

Frequently asked questions about super‑lightweight adhesives

Comfort Engineered stands for products that make work noticeably easier. This includes a pleasantly creamy consistency, reduced weight, lower dust generation, and high application efficiency – from the initial mixing stage through to the finished result.
This concept was developed based on practical experience gained on construction sites, not in laboratories.

What advantages does the Weber Comfort Engineered range offer on site?
Comfort Engineered products are lighter and exceptionally smooth to apply, generating significantly less dust. They also offer double the coverage of conventional tile adhesives*. This creates an ergonomic, comfortable and clean working environment, saving time, effort and material.

*As productive as a standard 25 kg tile adhesive

The range includes the tile adhesives weber.xerm 854 (lightweight) and weber.xerm 843 (flexible). weber.xerm 854 is a new, comprehensively optimised product, now available in a 15 kg bag for easier handling on site. Its modern formulation provides an exceptionally creamy consistency and allows for low-dust mixing and effortless trowelling. It also ensures reliable adhesion, even for heavy tiles. At the same time, the adhesive has been proven to reduce physical effort during installation by up to 15%. The result: less carrying, reduced fatigue, and faster progress.
Even lighter is weber.xerm 843. This super-light S2 adhesive weighs just 12.5 kg per bag, yet achieves the coverage of a conventional 25 kg product. Combining double coverage with maximum flexibility (S2), it is ideal for accommodating movement, for example over underfloor heating systems or young screeds. weber.xerm 843 is also low-dust, providing a creamy application. It enables void-free installation, even with large-format tiles, and allows early use — grouting is possible as early as the next day.

Mit weber.xerm 854 is suitable for installing all types of ceramic wall and floor tiles in interior areas, as well as in limited exterior applications. It can also be used for non-discolouring natural stone, porcelain and concrete tiles. Thanks to its white colour, the product is particularly well suited to bonding glass tiles and mosaics. weber.xerm 854 can be used in damp and wet rooms. This lightweight adhesive can be adjusted to suit different applications and offers exceptionally high coverage.
The product is distinguished by its very high slip resistance for all types of tiles, as well as by its especially easy and comfortable application.

weber.xerm 843 is a one-component, super-flexible (S2) and ultra-lightweight tile adhesive specially developed for installing large-format and mega-format tiles. It is ideal for absorbing tension in tiled installations over underfloor heating systems, on fresh cement screeds or concrete, and on dimensionally stable timber substrates. This eliminates the need for a decoupling mat in many applications. This lightweight adhesive has an excellent ability to absorb substrate movement and deformation. As a "Comfort Engineered" tile adhesive, it has a very fine structure and stands out in particular for its low weight. A 12.5 kg pack provides the same coverage as a standard 25 kg pack of conventional tile adhesive. In addition, the extremely creamy weber.xerm 843 is low-dust, making it exceptionally easy to apply.
Because their formulations have been specially designed to provide an easy-to-spread, smooth consistency. The lightweight formulation also reduces material weight, making mixing and trowelling significantly easier.
Yes. weber.xerm 854 and weber.xerm 843 can both be seamlessly integrated into existing systems for tiling applications, damp and wet rooms, and refurbishment projects.
