Saint-Gobain Weber: added value for architects
Düsseldorf, April 2026 – For Saint-Gobain Weber, architects are one of the key target groups. This is highlighted by two successful event formats for specifiers, which took place in April 2026 in both an in-person and an online capacity.
“Architecture 2026” in Cologne and Frankfurt
What do system solutions for a future‑oriented building culture look like? To explore this question, Saint-Gobain Germany not only put together a first-class programme, but also presented innovative solutions in an accompanying exhibition. On 14 April 2026 in Cologne-Mülheim and on 21 April 2026 in Frankfurt, Weber showcased its solutions for responding to the increasing frequency of flooding events together with other Saint-Gobain partner brands. These included the weber.tec Superflex D24 waterproofing system and the complete basement refurbishment system for interior applications.
"Architects are involved very early in the construction value chain and need to think holistically. By combining the specialised knowledge and solutions of our 20-plus brands, we can offer significant added value during the planning stage", says Christian Bako, CEO of Saint-Gobain Germany & Austria.
Compact online format: “Update on Waterproofing”
On 14 April 2026, the Saint-Gobain Weber Architects’ Forum, titled "Update on Waterproofing," was held as an online-only seminar for the fourth time. During the three-hour programme, around 500 architects, structural engineers and specifiers were brought up to date on compliant interior and exterior waterproofing solutions. Participants particularly appreciated the speakers' high level of expertise, the strong practical relevance of the seminar and the comprehensive way in which questions were addressed.
"Update on Waterproofing" is an annual Saint-Gobain Weber event, which will continue next year.
