We have long emphasized the importance of sustainability in our products. We introduced the first CO₂-reduced BlueComfort tile adhesives as early as 2012 - long before the Paris Climate Agreement and the Fridays for Future movement.

Sustainability comes first
weber.xerm 842: the sustainable tile adhesive
With a CO₂ reduction of 80%, weber.xerm 842 is currently the most eco-friendly tile adhesive on the market. This calculation is based on the industry-wide recognized Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) "for adhesives based on modified mineral mortars" (group 2). Our development department has spent years of intensive research to achieve this reduction. The new formulation is based on our many years of experience with CO₂-reduced products.
Sustainable production
The excellent life cycle assessment is helped by the fact that the BlueComfort products are manufactured in a Weber plant, in which the CO₂ emissions have been reduced by 90% since 2017. This was made possible by various measures, such as the integration of photovoltaic elements, plant optimization and the switch to green energy. In addition, we protect the environment and strengthen the local economy by using regional raw materials.
Sustainable packaging
The packaging of our BlueComfort product family is also eco-friendly: the buckets are made of 100% and the plastified bags of 30% recycled plastic. After use, both packaging materials are 100% recyclable.
