weber.prim 404
White-pigmented, solvent-free isolating and priming coat over tar-, bitumen-, nicotine- and soot-contaminated substrates
Product features
- prevents “bleeding” of lignin substances
- provides an effective isolating effect
- reduces the porosity of substrates
- improves the bonding of renders to the substrate
- drying time: is approx. 12 hours
- for indoor use
Product advantages
- effective isolating effect
- reduces the porosity of the whole substrate
- improves bonding of renders to substrate
weber.prim 404 can be used as an insulating and priming coat on substrates such as gypsum plasterboard, chipboard, and those contaminated with tar, bitumen, nicotine, and soot. It is also used as a priming coat for water stains on cement-based top renders weber.star 222, 223, 244, 261 and 281, the lime-based renders weber.cal 286, 288, 289 and all organic top renders weber.pas with the exception of silicate-bound materials. As the properties of weber.prim 404 are extremely influenced by the type of surface, a test area (one and two coats) should be created in case of doubt. For interior use only. The primer cannot be painted over. Not suitable for gypsum-based surfaces.
