Professional plastering of masonry with high residual moisture
If the masonry has a high residual moisture and is only superficially dry (e.g when the chambers of the masonry elements were filled by rain during the construction period or in the particular case of winter shell structures), the masonry dries out very slowly (possibly after more than 2 years). The consequent shrinkage significantly increases the risk of plaster cracks. This risk can be minimized thanks to a reinforcement layer.
