weber.prim 804
Quick-drying multi-use primer for absorbent and non-absorbent substrates indoors + outdoors
Colour:
white
Storage:
The product can be stored at least 12 months in its original unopened packaging, if kept dry, cool and frost-free. Frost will destroy the product. After thawing it is not allowed to use it.
Fields of application
weber.prim 804 is used as special primer and bonding promoting agent for absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces on walls
and floors in indoor and outdoor areas. Particularly well-suited for the subsequent laying of large size tiles and slabs on moisture-sensitive substrates, like calcium-sulphate screeds and other gypsum-containing substrates, thanks to its high resistance to moisture. Suitable for the pre-treatment of almost all substrates that are intended to accommodate tile adhesives and natural stones: old tiles, concrete, lightweight concrete, cement screeds, calcium sulphate screeds, cement renders, lime-cement renders, gypsum plasters, gypsum plasterboards, gypsum fiberboards, aerated concrete, timber planks, OSB boards, chipboards, watertight residues of old floor covering glues and on smooth, poorly sanded mastic asphalt screeds.
For use indoors and outdoors.
Main features
- EMICODE EC 1PLUS: very low emission of volatile substances
- particularly suited as water protection for moisture-sensitive substrates
- quick drying: rapid start of follow-up works
- ready-to-use
- alkali-resistant
- high bonding strength with subsequent products on smooth and dense substrates
- very easy application with roller or brush
- produces a non-skid surface
- high yield
- suitable for walls, floors and ceilings
General notes
- All characteristics mentioned in this data sheet are based on a temperature of +23 °C without draught and a relative humidity rate of 50%.
- Higher temperatures and lower humidity rates accelerate, lower temperatures and higher humidity rates delay the drying process.
- Remove water-soluble residues of old floor covering glues at all costs.
- Protect the freshly applied primer from dirt and moisture.
Special notes
- Limits of use: do not use weber.prim 804 in areas permanently underwater.
- For outdoors and wet-duty areas, use only in combination with a suitable waterproofing, for ex. the 2-comp. reactive waterproofing slurry weber.tec Superflex D 2 or the 2-comp. waterproofing, tile adhesive and de-coupling system weber.xerm 844; both are applied as bonded systems.
- The primer does not replace the use of a waterproofing compound.
- Use a cement-based tile adhesive, like weber.xerm 859 F (temperature-independent setting flexible adhesive) or xerm 861 (multi-use flexible tile adhesive) for large-size tiles (length up to 120 cm) on calcium sulphate screeds.
