Tile craft expertly represented

The Göbel Group's branch in Würzburg is reminiscent of the company's origins in the tile craft.

The branch of the Göbel Group in the city of Würzburg is a reminder of the company's origins in the tile craft. For this purpose, the facade was designed with 250 x 62.5 mm slim clinker brick slips in orange, blue-green and medium grey.

The building is a timber-frame construction with integrated thermal insulation, so the facade was designed as a special construction. weber.xerm 844 was used as a moisture barrier, which de-coupled the installation material from the insulation board, and as a waterproofing compound. This accelerated the completion because a complete work step could be omitted. For the tile fixing, the Göbel application team used the multi-use flexible tile adhesive weber.xerm 861.

The interiors were designed with various tiles, natural stones and laying patterns. The entrance area features porcelain stoneware in a size of 160 x 160 cm, while the atrium has a herringbone look. The open floor plan is thus visually divided into different zones. The tile fixing in the interior was carried out with the same flexible tile adhesive as in the exterior, since it is suitable for a variety of different sizes and materials. The interior was installed with the same flexible adhesive mortar as the exterior, since it is suitable for a variety of different formats and materials.
