Decorative paints and coatings for balconies and terraces

Balconies, terraces and walkways are subject to extreme requirements, such as frost, heat and mechanical loads. With 1- or 2-component balcony coatings based on polyurethane resin, these building elements can be durably protected in both new construction and renovation.

Simple & safe to the goal

  1. 1. Substrate preparation. Remove all adhesion-impairing particles and substances, such as cement laitance.

  2. 2. As primer, use either weber.prim 806 (quick-curing epoxy resin) or weber.prim 807 (normal-curing epoxy resin), using a lambskin roller. Apply 2 coats and scatter oven-dried silica sand (grain size 0.1 - 0.5 mm) over the freshly applied second coat.

  3. 3. Apply the elastified and colour-stable coating weber.tec 791 with the notched trowel onto the hardened priming coat. For de-aeration and levelling, intensively work with the spike roller in crosswise motions.

  4. 4. Scatter the coloured PVC chips weber.floor 4919 onto the fresh coating.

  5. 5. Apply the 1-comp. transparent and solvent-containing balcony sealer based on polyurethane resin weber.tec 792 in 2 coats on top of weber.tec 791.

  6. 6. In case of renovation of old balcony coatings, they must be ground until "white break". Afterwards, vacuum off intensively.

  7. 7. Apply 2 coats of the pigmented, moisture-hardening polyurethan resin weber.tec 790 in 2 coats with a lambskin roller on the cleaned old coating.

  8. 8. For optical design scatter the PVC chips weber.floor 4919 over the fresh coating weber.tec 790.

  9. 9. After drying of the new coating weber.tec 790 apply the transparent balcony sealer weber.tec 792.
