Concrete repair of industrial floors

Industrial floors are exposed to special mechanical stresses. In the case of damaged industrial floors, careful pre-treatment of the substrate must be observed before starting the repair works. Surface preparation serves to remove concrete or screed until it is suitable for the permanent application of a coating. Depending on the required layer thickness (10 - 100 mm), two tested PCC dry mortars are available for concrete replacement work. The formation of floor joints with vehicular traffic is carried out with a specific joint sealant.

Simple & safe to the goal

  1. 1. The substrate must be clean, load-bearing and rough. Its tensile strength (pull-off strength) should be 1.5 N/mm².

  2. 2. For this purpose a suitable substrate preparation, e.g. shot blasting, milling or ultra-high pressure water jetting, must be carried out.

  3. 3. Completed floor surface after substrate preparation by shot peening.

  4. 4. Scrub the bonding layer weber.rep KB duo onto the dull-moist pre-wetted substrate.

  5. 5. The concrete replacement mortar weber.rep 752 is applied in layer thicknesses of 10 - 40 mm on the still fresh bondcoat. For layer thicknesses of 25 - 100 mm weber.rep 753 is suitable.

  6. 6. Then the concrete replacement mortar is ruled level and compacted.

  7. 7. Ready floor surface.

  8. 8. For the repair of the joint sides use the multi-use epoxy resin weber.tec 793 as binder, glue and bondcoat.

  9. 9. The chemical resistant filling of joints is done with the elastified PU industrial joint sealant weber.tec 977.
