Waterproofing separation joints in the socket part

Within the scope of safe structural waterproofing, building separation joints are a challenge for planners and contractors.

During the step-by-step waterproofing works of joints, the water impact class (ground damp/ non-pressure pressure water and pressure water) according to DIN 18533 should always be taken into account.

Simple & safe to the goal

  1. Substrate preparation

    1. Removal of adhesion-impairing particles.

  2. 2. Apply the all-purpose primer weber.prim 900.

  3. 3. Scratch layer of the 2-comp. reactive and quick-setting waterproofing coating weber.tec Superflex D 24.

  4. 4. First waterproofing layer weber.tec Superflex D 24.

     

  5. 5. The waterproofing is brought down on the forepart of the concrete slab.

  6. 6. Separation joints between buildings are waterproofed with the joint sealing tape with end T-piece weber.tec Superflex B 240 E. Its both fleece-backed sides are bonded and covered with the same bitumen material used for the waterproofing of main surfaces.

  7. 7. Leave the end of the tape protruding beyond the joint, protect it from dirt/damage and later embed it into the wall waterproofing layer.

  8. 8. The protruding tape is later incorporated into the waterproofing layer on the socket part wall.
