The thin-layer underfloor heating constructions described in this recommendation sheet are special designs. Therefore the screed thicknesses may deviate from the minimum layer thicknesses specified in standards.
The maximum allowed loads on floors are as follows:
For all systems the maximum allowed diameter of heating pipes is 12 mm.
Depending on substrate: acrylic bonding primer weber.floor 4716 or epoxy resin primer weber.floor 4712 (very low emission) + scattering of silica sand.
Depending on the desired drying time: levelling compound for renovation and timber floors weber.floor 4310 or quick levelling compound for renovation and timber floors weber.floor 4320.
Due to the long-lasting flow inside the heating elements, a restless surface of the levelling compound will be obtained. For the laying of tiles and parquet the evenness is sufficient; in the case of elastic floorings, a levelling may be required (e.g. with the anhydrite flow screed weber.floor 4095 or the cement-based high-flow smoothing mortar weber.floor 4031 may be required.
Please note, that hairline cracks can occur due to the building geometry and the substrate condition. These cracks represent an optical failure and have no detrimental influence on the floor's bonding strength and load-bearing capacity.
For laying ceramic tiles use the quick-setting and flexible flow-grade tile adhesive weber.xerm 860 F or the multi-use flexible tile adhesive weber.xerm 861. For laying other floorings (PVC, carpets, etc.) use an appropriate weber.floor glue.
