Laying of discolouration- insensitive natural stones indoors

The laying of sensitive and translucent (translucent) natural stones always requires the use of high-quality tile adhesives and grouting mortars in addition to the craftsmanship of the tiler and natural stone layer. For laying works tile adhesives with white cement as binder and with a crystalline water binding should be used. This crystalline water binding binds a large part of the gauging water and thus ensures rapid hardening and drying of the adhesive mortar bed. In addition to the safety against discoloration, the easy and thus particularly economical processing are further decisive arguments for the choice of this laying system.

Simple & safe to the goal

  1. Substrate preparation

    1. Old screeds can be levelled for ex. with the floor self-levelling compound weber.plan 813-25 (1 - 25 mm), if necessary. Such surfaces are treated with the primer weber.prim 801.

  2. 2. Eventual levelling works on walls can be carried out with the quick-setting levelling and repair mortar weber.plan 818.

  3. Application

    1. In case of translucent natural stones, apply the quick-setting and flexible natural stone adhesive weber.xerm 864 F full-surface on their backside.

  4.

    2. Before a skin starts to form (check the tackiness of combed down tile adhesive with the finger) slide the natural stones into the fresh mortar bed and press down. Scrape the joints before the tile adhesive hardens.

  5. Grouting

    1. After hardening of the adhesive for natural stones, the joints between tiles can be grouted with the ceramic and natural stone grout with crystal effect weber.fug 875 F.

  6.

    2. Connection and movement joints must be closed with the elastic silicone joint sealant for natural stones weber.fug 883. For better bonding, use the primer weber.fug 884 (absorbent joint sides) or weber.fug 885 (non-absorbent joint sides).
