What does the Blue Angel mean?
The Blue Angel is a German government environmental label identifying environmentally friendly non-food products and services.
As the best-known label for environmentally friendly products, it plays a key role in encouraging sustainability within the construction industry.
Of the more than 20,000 certified products, numerous construction materials are included. Criteria for certification include durability, resource-efficient manufacturing and the sustainable sourcing of raw materials. The avoidance of harmful substances in the product and the reduction of emissions are also key factors. Social requirements are also considered in the evaluation process.
Many Weber systems also carry the renowned Blue Angel label.
