Floor renovation at a vocational college
A solid foundation for vocational education
Project Summary
Like many school buildings across Germany, the vocational college in Castrop-Rauxel needed to be renovated. Comprehensive refurbishment plans were made in 2020, funded by both the federal government and the state. Weststadt-Parkett Andreas Dammann, a company based in Essen, was awarded the contract to renovate the floors.
The groundwork for further renovations was laid on 20 and 21 February 2020, when an industrial self-levelling screed and top layer were installed. The Weber PumpTruck delivered approximately 45 tonnes of weber.floor 4602, a cement-based levelling compound for industrial floors. During the next construction phase, around 58 tonnes of weber.floor 4605, a high-strength industrial self-levelling screed, were applied. Thanks to high-performance machinery, the Weststadt-Parkett team installed over 1,400 m² of flooring in just two days.
