Fields of application

weber.tec 828 SZ is used as protection tape for the safe and long-term protection of composite waterproofing in areas of connection and movement joints.
The rost-free and extremely thin stainless steel tape prevents the waterproofing layer from being accidentally cut or damaged with a cutter knife when cutting out and renewing elastic silicone joint sealants.
This measure can be carried out with all Weber bonded waterproofing systems: weber.tec 822 (liquid waterproofing foil) / 824 (1-comp. flexible cement-based waterproofing slurry) / 827 and 827 S (flexible waterproofing epoxy resins) / Superflex D 2 (2-comp. reactive waterproofing slurry) and xerm 844 (2-comp. waterproofing, tile adhesive and de-coupling system).
weber.tec 828 SZ is suitable for use in case of all water load classes W0-I (low load), W1-I (moderate load) and W2-I (high load) according to DIN 18534 “Bonded waterproofing under tiles and slabs with liquid products for interior use”.
